Sunday In London

The above photos were taken near the place I work. But, the first time I saw these brightly painted elephants was in Washington, 2002. So I was quite surprise to see them again in London after 8 years.

There are over 250 brightly painted life-size elephants are located all over central London. This is an exhibition known as Elephant Parade and is a conservation campaign that shines a multi-coloured spotlight on the urgent crisis faced by the endangered Asian elephant. This is an initiative by www.elephantfamily.org, they are for sale by auction and every bid is a for an habitat. I hope they sale well.

  1. This is a great idea to raise money. The elephants look terrific.

  2. What a neat exhibit. I am going to have to show these to my mom, who is an animal lover and has a special place in her heart for the elephants. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Oh wow those are so pretty! I would love to have one myself.

How did your tests go that you were studying for?

    Have a great week!

  4. Beautiful! I love when cities did this. We did this with donkeys a few summers ago. Very nice.

  5. The elephant art is beautiful. I was so sad to see when they started vandalizing the ones here in DC. We have other animals here now. We have a panda and pig near where I work. I can't wait to see your three wishes post.

  6. Big smile! how fun is that! The City of Chicago did this kind of project about 10 years ago with huge cows. They were all placed down the main boulevard in the downtown area and drew HUGE crowds-- then they sold them for charity.

The elephants were a great reminder. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

    Happy weekend,

Yes, I L*O*V*E them and look forward to receive great advice and encouragement. Let me know you are here, just write hi :)
