Sunday In London: One Summer Day

I love taking pictures; this ability has always being one of my hobbies. I take photos every time I have a camera with and I see an interesting subject.

The photo below shows how it works. At the time I took it, I was not trying to do anything special but everything happened by chance. The sun was high, the heat at a pitch and fountain was raised from the ground. The boy, together with some friends came running, the water raised again, he jumped, my finger clicked and violĂ  – I had an artistic picture!

But then I go home and I don’t know how to edit the photos. I like the picture above so much that I entered it in a competition – it didn’t win, but I was still happy I sent it out there. I wanted people to see that I can take nice pictures. But, I think I need to learn how to edit my photos.

So, today I would like to ask: how do you edit a picture? Which free editing program do you use? Which version of the picture above do you like most?

  1. I love london i live about 30 mins away from there and go there often. London rocks its the epitome of cool :) i have found fotoflexer.com is a good site for editing software :) xxx

  2. I am a wanna-be photographer. LOL. I try to take great pics, but they don't come out as good as yours (I think I may need to get a nicer, more expensive camera--just kidding). These pics look really neat. By the way, thank you so much for the blog award

  3. I have no idea how to edit photos. I downloaded paint.net which is a free program similar to photoshop but once I start messing around with the photo I can't tell if it looks better or worse. I'm not really a visual person. I should just stick with writing. :)

  4. I think that is a great photo! I've traveled internationally but never to London but it does sound fun. Besides, I love going and doing all the non-tourist style things and really learn/soak up the culture.

  5. Oh yeah, and I'm stopping by from SITS!
