Just Trying To Be Healthy...

I didn't skip breakfast.
Instead at 8.30am I had two wholegrain weetabix, a handful of blueberries and skimmed milk.

Then around 9.15am I did my first 2011 workout thanks to Billy's Ab-Bootcamp and Live Bootcamp videos. I am out of training therefore I managed to exercise for 45mins with few seconds intervals in between.
I will build up my strength again!

For my snack which happened around 11am, I had 21 cherries! Yum!

For lunch I am having boiled and salted edemame beans :)!
For dinner we will eat spaghetti and tuna-tomato-source.

To be able to focus on my healthy-balanced life I am keeping track of what I eat and the exercises I do on myfitnesspal calorie journal. I downloaded the Apps for free on my IPOD ;)!

As you can read, I intend going back my healthy-fit-yummy future mummy. That's why today my healthy self pushed aside the lazy me and did something good for the body :)!

How do you keep fit? Do you do a calorie count? Does it help to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

  1. Stopping by from Tuesday Train and I'm now following you. I'd love for you to follow me back at:

I don't really write down what I eat, but I am making more of an effort to eat fruits and veggies as opposed to candy and cookies. How do you like the Billy Blanks videos? I'm looking to get 1-2 to keep around the house for days when I can't make it to the gym(like today since it's snowing here).

    Have a great day!

  4. Wow, looks like you are off to a good start. I love wheatabix. My diet is one that is high in fat and protein and very little to no sugar. I find that whole milk yogurt can go along way with just a little bit. I find that with fat and protein in my diet, butter, eggs, chicken, beef, lamb, & pork. I only need 3 meals and no snacks. If I do need a snack, I go for more fat like cashews or avocado. Good fats. It's important for me to feel satisfied. I love french cooking because its rich but you don't need that much. I have an aerobics class that's 2 hours long 3x a week but I haven't been consistent. Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. @ MNorvegian Phoenix Billy Blank's videos are good. I am going to feel the pain tomorrow though ;)!.

@ Monique your diet is very healthy! I don't use sugar, but I eat too much carbs, I will cut on that and eat only good amino acids. I like avocado and cashew too so I will focus on those fats.

I believe the trick is to do the righ food shopping :)!

  8. I think I'm going to start keeping a food journal. I feel like I eat pretty healthy, but I'm sure if I kept track of it, I'd find some things I'm not too thrilled with haha!

  11. My husband and I just started weight watchers. I've done calorie counting and all the other countless diets, but since we are on this venture together - i figured simple would be best, so With the Points, it seemed easiest for my husband. So far we're only a few days in but he seems to enjoy it telling me about the wiser decisions he's already starting to make without realizing it (i.e, splenda instead of 2 packets of sugar)... it's hard but when you have support, goals are easier to achieve. So good for you for tracking things and setting realistic goals!!! :)

  12. @ Amy, I will bottle it up and send it on your way :)!

  13. @AmyJean, having your husband as your healthypal is great. You can cook healthy food for both without feeling guilty or tempted about eating different type of food :)!.

  14. I track my food and exercise at Spark People. I like Spark because it tracks protein, too, because I never get enough protein. I also track my workouts and often find I don't eat enough on days I work out.

    Good luck!

  15. GOod for you. I'm happy for you for getting back on the healthy track. I don't count calories but I pay attention to them (if you know what I mean). I also watch where I get my calories from--so I try to eat more nuts, whole grains etc. I do indulge in chocolate and fried food at times but not too often. I hope you like the home workout videos. I'm loving the ones I'm doing--well not loving because I'm in pain but I think they are doing the job. LOL
