Date Night Outfit

This past Saturday, AMI and I went on a date. That was our first alone date since AOI was born 15+ months ago.

Some of our friends have been offering free babysitting but we always turned the offers down because we both didn’t like the idea.

But two weeks ago, when AMI learnt that he is going to Ghana for a work trip, he invited me on a date. We thought about it and we felt AOI is ready to have our trusted friend look after her for few hours while we went out for a meal and a chat. Really, to enjoy each other’s company without our sweetheart.

Hubby took me to a posh restaurant in the city.

I dressed up, applied make up, lip gloss and mascara.toioutfitflats: shelley made in italy/ coat: Sisley italy/ dress: Vero Moda/ tight: Calzedonia/ {cardigan| scarf| earrings}: no name

I felt good. I thought about how I like dressing up and going out on Saturdays. In the car, on our way to the restaurant, I felt like my old teenage girl dating her boyfriend, now husband. I kept taking self portraits on my iPhone.toi date portraitcheesy, i know

Hubby wore his elegant shoes, nice trousers and a nice shirt. The meal was delicious. the mealI had few sips of red wine.

We were giddy after the date and promised ourselves to go out at least once a month. But we couldn’t wait to get to our sweet AOI.

She had a great time with our friend and her daughter. She was tired when we got back home and went to bed minutes after we walked into the house.

In my giddy mood, I decided to snap some pictures of my make-up and I remember this picture I pinned

it inspired me to snap this self portrait

  3. Date nights are a must! I remember my parents leaving us with their friend to go out on their dates when we were children and I didn't like it very much. But looking back, I.SO.APPRECIATE.IT! They have been married for 38 years and I tend to think it's because they took time for each other (and I also believe it's their faith in Christ). Good thinking on both your parts. Keep up the good work and date nights! I really like the flow and colors of your outfit!

  7. Gorgeous face and gorgeous outfit! What fun - date nights are the best and so necessary for refreshment and connection - especially as children get older and demand more attention. Good for you!

  8. YAY for date night. Definitely take advantage of any personal time you can get with the hubby. I am loving the pictures, you look so good with that pink. That picture that you took to simulate the pin is so right on.

By the way, we are going to London for 8 days and Paris for 6 days the first week of May
