Pregnancy #2: Week 33

week 33 note

Thursday we went to our prenatal visit and the midwife had to go through all the boring stuff about what ifs. I couldn’t stand it, but I had to sit through it. I was relieved when she listened to the heartbeat. AOI was such little helper. She pressed the button to turn on the fetal doppler and she also wanted to clean the gel off my belly after we heard the heartbeat.

Her only question was “What are you doing baby?” She is so adorable.

_____________

On a ranting note: I’m tired to answer the question “How many weeks before the baby is here?”

It sends me into panic, because the more they question me the more my mind is thinking about it. December is going too fast for my liking. I really can’t believe that in about six weeks and some days I will see my second baby. I’m excited yet freaking out. I want to hold baby boy in my arms so much and I want everything be fine. But now that December is here time seems to be rushing against machine. I need to do so much and thinking about the few weeks left until we become family of four makes me see the red stop sign. I want to hide.

Oh, this is just the rant of a tired pregnant woman.

week 33

How Far Along: 33 Weeks

Size of Baby: Durian Fruit, average size: 17.2-18.7 inches, 4.2-5.8 lb

Total Weight Gain: 0lbs.

I need to explain this no gain weight issue. My original before baby #1 weight was 68kg circa. I gain so much weight post baby #1 due to bad eating habits. Before I found out that I was pregnant with baby #2 I was working out to get rid of the excess weight but nothing was working. Then I found I was pregnant and we went to Europe and so much happened during our trip that I lost some weight unwantedly.

After the trip my weight has being the same as it was back in February when I started my #ProjectMilf challenge 83.60kgs circa. So, I guess baby #2 is helping me keep my weight in balance. I really hope to get back to my ideal weight after this baby.

Stretch Marks: Yep, from last pregnancy!

Maternity Clothes: Just a few pieces, like the Old Navy dress in the in the photo above

Gender: Boy

Movement: I believe that as well as feeling the baby movements I’m getting Braxton Hicks

Sleep: Still sleeping through the night again

What I miss: doing Pliates, my back needs that urgently. I will try to make time for this weekend

Food Cravings: No particular cravings

Food Aversions: None

Symptoms: Back pain is my killer and tiredness is not my friend

What I'm Looking Forward To: putting up the baby cot and washing baby’s tiny clothe items. Now

  5. 33 weeks, you are so close to holding your baby. That belly looks awesome and I love that you incorporated AOI in all the weekly photos.

My grandma once told me that the only thing a baby needs is a roof over his head, food, clothes and a rested mommy. I think that is the wisest advice I have ever gotten about pregnancy. Don't stress if everything you need to do doesn't seem to be completed, your baby will never know the difference :).

I hope the aches and pain of the 3rd trimester are not too hard on you.

  7. man, all these pregnancy posts in the blogosphere are making me wish for baby #2! Isn't hearing the baby's heartbeat the best thing? I loved it, it was so reassuring :) I get hating people asking how many weeks are left, a constant reminder of the timeline. Try not to stress (easier said than done) and just know that everything will work itself out.
