Our Everyday Life: Routines

counting baby

I’m little behind with our everyday life update. This update is for week 27.

So, week 27 of 2014 was all about getting myself and the kids back into a routine that works for all of us. In the day we would relax at home, or go to the paddling pool, then go for a nap inspired walks. Sometimes were successful other time were not. But we didn’t have tired tantrums. AOI would simply take her books and sit somewhere among the many toys and study the pictures or recite the words by heart.

Monday evening my friend invited us to her house, we were suppose to meet at the spray park but due to rain we went to her house. Only me and the kids went because AMI was working and when he got home he preferred staying home for dinner. My friend prepared an American homemade pizza, it was yummy. My daughter has go appetite, she asked for seconds and I ended up eating it for her because she didn’t finish it. That 32 months old toddler of mine, she was so tired by the end of our evening with our friends.

Tuesday was Canada Day, but AMI went to work in the morning. In the afternoon, when he got back we went to buy our camping trip gear. With the held of AOI AMI set up the tent to try it out in the comfort of our backyard.

For the first time AOI went to bed very late, part due to overtiredness and part to the noise of the fireworks from the Canada Day celebration from the nearby park.

Wednesday morning we woke up too early for my liking. After breakfast me and the kids  went to the spray park. After snack and a little more play we came home for AOI's nap. We she woke up she had spaghetti in bianco, while watching too many episodes of Bo on the Go - now I know where she learnt her bad dancing skills. Baby TOI started to show interested in crawling. At four we went to meet our friends. I was so tired by the end of the day.

Thursday, AOI woke up early and came to sleep in our bedroom. At one point we heard a big thumpf, it was AOI falling down on her chin - poor sweetheart. She had a bruise. The day we took it easy, singing the Rhinoceros Tap and the whole CD on repeat. It was fun and AOI loved it.

Friday was a good day, though TOI wanted to be held the whole time but I love cuddling him and giving him tender kisses on the soft cheeks, but it can be tiring especially when he doesn’t want to sleep when I put him in his cradle swing. He had fun with his sister, who is very interested in the wellbeing of his little brother. As soon as he made a crying noise she would say “Mamma, T is crying. Pick him up.” I had to because I can see she’s learning so much from whatever I do.

WEEKEND

Saturday I really wanted to go the gym for a good workout, because my body was feeling the need to get rid of for negative toxins. But that didn’t happen. AMI wanted to organise the children clothes, so we did. That required nearly the whole day. Then we had pizza, Mediterranean style and that was the top of the day.

Sunday we had a chill at home day in the morning. Then in the afternoon we agreed to meet with some friends but in the end we decided to go to the lake. It was a nice outing, we took the canoe on the lake and we were rowing in when it started to drizzle. The wind blew strong and AMI had to paddle harder. I held tight to TOI who just had a feed on the canoe and AOI had to try to sit still. I loved it.

It was another successful week.
