RSWtealSo, Ready. Set. WRITE! is a summer writing intensive that encourages goal-setting and accountability, and provides an opportunity for us to cheer each other on wherever we’re at in our writing—planning, drafting, revising, or polishing. This year, your RSW hosts are Alison Miller, Jaime Morrow, Erin Funk, and Katy Upperman. Find the rest of the details HERE.

I just had to jump on board, because the wagon of this summer writing challenge has been moving for six weeks and I found about it mid last week.

1.  How I did on last week’s goals

Last week I challenged myself to take it slow, I did fantastic because I managed to document our Rocky Mountain road trip, which was weighing me down. Though the writing was not creative, it’s important to our family life update.

2.  My goal(s) for this week

Over the weekend I got inspired for another story, so my aim this week is to do a 2000wds research for the story

3.  A favourite line from my story OR one word/phrase that sums up what I wrote/revised

Last week, apart from updating our everyday life, I wrote down some lines and pictures that my mind has been putting together and my favourite line is: He was one of those mothers praised their daughter to bed.

4.  The biggest challenge I faced this week (ex. finding time to write)

Not breaking my own go easy rule

5.  Something I love about my WiP

I love how inspiration to tell this WIP finds itself into my mind in the most awkward places.

  1. Welcome, Theodora. It's great that you wrote about your family's journey. I don't think any writing is more important than that. And I'm sure it was creative even if it wasn't fiction. Good luck on going easy this week. I can see how that might be difficult ;)

  2. So glad you've joined us for Ready. Set. WRITE! And a Rocky Mountain road trip? How wonderful! I wish you much luck with your goals this week!

  3. So glad you decided to join us for RSW! I love that you challenged yourself to take it slow last week. I really need to do that once in a while too because it's tempting to overload with too many tasks. Good luck with your research this week! :)

  4. Yay! It's never too late to jump in! Such a great idea to document your trips with your words. Your kids will appreciate that so much later in life. Good luck with your research this week!

Inspiration always seems to strike me when I'm driving or brushing my teeth :)
Welcome to Ready.Set.Write! and good luck with your goals this week!

  6. I know, those are some of the places for me too. Or when I take my children for a walk. Thank you :)

  7. Thank you for the warm welcome. Slowing down helped me get more things done, and this week I'm trying to combine productivity and taking it easy :).

Yes, I L*O*V*E them and look forward to receive great advice and encouragement. Let me know you are here, just write hi :)
