INTRODUCTION (I WAS, I AM, I WILL BE...)

Hello everyone. Happy February, may this month be full of accomplished good purposes. So as mentioned on my IG account I feel like we can get to know each other even better.

So starting from today, Wednesday February 1st, every week (for 16 weeks) you look at the question, write something, you can add a photo and share it. I'll be using these weeks to not only get to know you but get to know myself again. I can't wait, I'm so excited for this. Let's get to know the women behind the lens and build a better community.

I'm Theodora Ofosuhima, thank you so much for following along in my journey. We are here together not by coincidence but by a greater purpose, to inspire each other for a better world. I've been sharing on social media for the past seven and so years and hope to use my platform for better things, to build a community we can all be proud, and will make God smile of happiness.

I was born in Ghana. My father was a preacher but he died when I was three years old. At the time my mother was living in Italy so me and my brothers were forced to move from home to home for some years. After six years as a vagabond within my motherland, at the age of nine I moved to Italy to be with my mother.  My mother has been the mother and father figure for me. The women are the pillars in my family, the men are supportive of our important role.

My journey has evolved. I can state I was once lost but now I'm found.
For all my life I was searching for myself and finally last year, October 2016, I came to my Lord. He has always being part of my life {I was a cradle Christian} but I didn't really understand what means to have His presence fully in your life. God welcomed me with a huge and comforting embrace, my heart suddenly became peaceful and full of love. Now He is the one in charge of my life. I'll be living the rest of my life sharing testimony of how His mighty love is pure and healing.
He is showing me my created value and I'm working on sharing my life purpose, as God created me to do. And learning to love everyone like Jesus really taught us to do.

I believe that we are here on earth for a purpose. I found the message in my name.

Theodora: God's gift
Ofosuhima: Queen of Ofosu

Choosing a name for our children might seem as if God doesn't have anything to do with it but He does. He guides parents so if they want they can choose the name that will help that kid flourish.

When I started the journey I was shy and hid my names. Then my confidence plummeted with some life changing events in my personal life. Then I became a mother and through my children's eyes started to love myself again. Then I started long journey of transformation back to confident self. Little by little thanks to my blog and offline journalling I began to feel confidence yet I still hid whenever I felt uncomfortable.

But since knowing the meaning to the word purposefully made I understand that Lord created me to be fearless, still, watchful and courageous. I want to honour that love and live as He wants me to be. BOLD and FEARLESS of the world, to learn from Jesus and live life in His light. To share the good news of His mighty love.

I want to tell you a little story.
“You weren’t plan. When one of your older half sisters found out she told your father that he is too old to have another child. In reply he said you never throw away a gift  from God.”
I looked ahead into the ocean of rear red lights of the cars ahead, to hide my sudden emotional state. My mother, who doesn’t like to talk about her past, that morning found her voice to tell me about the love a father has for her children. That even though my father died when I was about three and I don’t remember my afternoons spent sitting by his feet as he worked on an article to complain about a current political situation in Ghana, he loved me dearly he chose my name. And finally, after 30 years, I understand why he chose my first two names for me.
I'm grateful that with God's love and patience at some point in my life (I believe I had to experience everything I did to come to that acceptance of Lord forgiveness and love) to surrender so that my Lord will make His permanent home in my heart.

The song Broken Vessel is my rebirth song. When God seated in my heart I could finally see Him in all the time that He has been fighting the fight for me. I could tell what I was meant to be doing with my life on this earth, but I still need His help to get me there. I realized that God doesn't want me to live in fear but to rejoice in His mighty love. This one of His gift for us.

"Broken Vessels (Amazing Grace)"

All these pieces
Broken and scattered
In mercy gathered
Mended and whole
Empty handed
But not forsaken
I've been set free
I've been set free

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

Oh I can see you now
Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down
Raising up the broken to life

You take our failure
You take our weakness
You set Your treasure
In jars of clay
So take this heart, Lord
I'll be Your vessel
The world to see
Your love in me

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind but now I see

Oh I can see you now
Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down
Raising up the broken to life

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind but now I see
[2x]

Oh I can see you now
Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down
Raising up the broken to life

Amazing grace
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost
But now I'm found
Was blind but now I see
[2x]

Oh I can see you now
Oh I can see the love in Your eyes
Laying yourself down
Raising up the broken to life
[3x]
