I was admiring some letters my in-laws received from their friends yesterday and got me thinking about my yearly review.
This year I've been slacking in my blogging and writing. Though the ideas are swimming more than ever before my emotions are not settled enough for the events, that happened during the last three months of the year, to be told.
2017 you sure have taught me that in every trial my Lord is the foundation that doesn't easily sway. He spruce, He gives and He never forsake me. I learnt to stand still, to be fearless and bold in my faith. To know that as beloved daughter of my Heavenly Father nothing can be against me.
The word that came up when I did my vision journal was SHARE. I don't know if I did a great joy in sharing but I hope I pleased my Lord with my little sharing.
I had plans to document our sabbatical days but I didn't share much on this blog from July onwards because I was busy enjoying the blessings Lord was lavishing on my family and me. Then September rolled in and the trying events that allowed me to witness God at work through the Holy Spirit came about. In enigmatic way I shared a bit about how I was feeling on my INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT.
But let's me give you a quick yearly update.
The year started with some panic moments that my mother was finding it hard to overcome, but I found my strength in Christ to comfort her. February AMI, the kids and I enjoyed a breve break in Banff. The children tried skiing for the first time. In March we had a wedding that we also combined with a date. We don't date enough and we hoped to do more but didn't in the end. After the trying months of January and February my brother G, came to visit me in April for a month. End of May we went to Vancouver and for the little I saw I fell in love with the city. July the sabbatical year began and it was travelling up to London to visit my sister-in-law and brother and their family. August I found a shared apartment in Chelsea for G because in September he was coming back to London to study at Imperial College.

27-09-17: amidst the storm He spoke. I listened as he said "Focus on me, I'll guide you. Write, write for all this will glorify the Father." So in all tribulations I turn to Jesus, since He graciously woke me up from my limbo type of faith. Now I don't sway, I may feel the wind of chaos, but I stand still in my faith. I cling to his promises, I worship Jesus because there is victory in Him. I've found peace and freedom from fear. I worship Him through all seasons and I would love to invite you to do the same.

"The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still." Exudes 14:14, so I stand still as in the downpour for I believe there is a bow the rain.
P.s: A big thank you to my ladies and gentlemen that are following me on this journey. There is no coincidence for our acquittance. I learn from each one of you. Lord has a bigger plan for all of us. We have to believe and keep on praying for His guidance to show us how to arrive at our purpose.

Sometimes I step out from rooms and take the children with me because people say things that fill one's soul with fear. I'm not a worrier but a warrior with clear understanding of my source of strength so I prefer to sit still or move out of negativity to protect my sanity when all around is total chaos. I won't let negative words dim my light.

Every time I go to London, on these short visits, I get a different insight about my faith journey. I feel the hand of the Lord guiding and helping me share the message in my little understanding of His greatness and sense of peace He gives when you allow Him to be in control of your life. Things I say are then reinforced by third people I've never met.
For instance the last night I talked about how we should allow Jesus to guide our path through the Holy Spirit.
Today the message at church was rediscovering our confidence in our faith and knowing in all situations that Jesus is Lord, Jesus is Lord of all including me and you. Every breath we take is sustained by Him. He holds us together. He has authority over all creatures, which us you and I too.
But the question is: Do you accept His authority even when you don't like or agree with it?
When Jesus says no, that can turn into the best yes!
I trust in Him because he knows me inside out so my confidence lies in Jesus.

I found this book in the lovely bookshop 👉. This picture says a lot about how our era is becoming vain.
We are in an era where everything we do to help others are paraded on internet. Sometimes the actions are shared to raise more awvareness but other times, maybe, it's done for the purpose of building up our ego.
Anyway this brought to mind the conversation I had with my brother the other day. He asked me "Why Jesus didn't even write just book in the Bible?" (Maybe because social media hadn't been invented yet, so no one gave Him a book deal, kidding). Well, in that moment I didn't have the answer but the Holy Spirit inspired me to say "Jesus came to serve us, he made himself humble and did the work and spoke so that those who saw Him at work could testify that He is the invisible God made visible. He didn't come to build up his ego, so he didn't retire in the desert to write his memoir.
So if one believes the testimony of the apostles then blessed are those who believe and never saw.

November 12:
Day 89 of 365: this photo reminds me that there is always calm even in the most torrential of weathers, one must just look carefully and it will be right in front of the eyes. I was multitasking between parenting, being a comforting daughter and understanding sister. Taking multiple phone calls from London and New Jersey but a scene like this one, was just too cute to allow the camera to bypass it. My camera helped me to take a breath from all the storm that was going on in that particular moment.

27-11-2017: Congratulations to this beautiful couple. I'm proud of Prince Harry, of all the royal family he is the one I've liked his down to earth attitude. He is funny and can't hide it (check the Guardian interview, so heart warming). He always looks like just a guy you can easily travel with. Also once he inspired me to write a poem that won me first prize in a contest. He has come from the rebel teenager to the model soldier now to the first prince to set the example that love can over come race and class.
I didn't know much about Meghan Markle until she started dating Harry but I'm sure proud of such a beautiful talented mixed race is making history: the first American, divorcee, mixed race woman to publicly join the most current important royal family
Note: For some reasons the royal family love to announce things in November, now I wonder if the couple will get married in March, April or May.
Whenever is the date, I wish them all the best.
